Uchi-wa Daiko - United States
Uchi-wa are the latest addition to our drum line. They are single headed fan drums, sewn onto steel rings with a wooden handle. Large Picture.

Uddaka - India
A wonderful talking drum from India. It features two 6 inch heads, and is about 7-8 inches tall. You play under the arm, squeezing the ropes together to change the tone.

Udek - United States
The Udek is a Dumbek with a closed bottom and a 2.5" hole on the side of the drum near the drumhead. Playing technique involves sliding the hand over the sound portal to get a glissando effect or to change pitch. This drum tends to be somewhat higher in pitch and can be used as a solo voice. Urmi - India
A different type of talking drum from India. It is taller than the Uddaka. This drum stands about 15 inches tall, has two 6 inch heads, and is covered with fish skin. You play under the arm, squeezing the ropes together to change the tone. Large Picture. |

Xam Do
This is a very unique instrument. It has two drums and a wood block, all in one hand held instrument. By depressing each wooden arm, it strikes the drum or block with your desired force. The drums are covered with Goat skin and have wooden frames.
