Description: Tabala is a set of three to five wooden kettle drums. They are used by the Qadiriya people (the oldest branch of the Sufi order). Each drum is covered with cow skin, laced to an iron ring, and tightened with wedges. Each drummer plays with one hand and a stick. The bass drum is played with two very thick sticks.
